The program IMMEX is an instrument through which it is possible to temporarily import the goods needed to be used in an industrial or service process for the processing, transformation or repair of goods of foreign origin temporarily imported for export.

Usually, the companies select the modality of industrial

Industrial:

By its nature, this is the modality commonly requested by companies, since it is the one that is best suited to industrial or service processes for the preparation, transformation or repair of goods of foreign origin, which have been temporarily imported for their export.

Services:

When services are performed on export merchandise or export services are provided, solely for the development of activities determined by the Secretariat, with the prior opinion of the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit. The activities that are considered as services are found in Annex 3.2.4 of the Agreement by which the Ministry of Economy issues general rules and criteria on Foreign Trade.

Holding company:

This modality is used when the same IMMEX program seeks to integrate manufacturing operations of a company certified by the SAT, which will be called the holding company and one or more companies called controlled.

Harbor:

In the event that one or several foreign companies provide the technology and production material, without these directly operating the Program, to a national company.

Outsourcing:

When a certified company, that does not have facilities to carry out production processes, carries out manufacturing operations through third parties that it registers in its Program.
